Clean Launcher User Guide

✨ Getting Started

When you first open Clean Launcher, you'll be asked if you want to set up an Auto Mods folder and have Clean Launcher start with your computer.

Auto Mods creates a new folder in /Mods. Any file, folder, or zip you add will be automatically extracted and/or sorted for you. If it's a Tray or Save file, it will be moved to the correct folder.

It makes downloading sprees a breeze — you can right-click the folder, pin it to Quick Access, and drag your downloads straight into it. All the sorting will be done for you. You can enable or disable this folder at any time in More Tools ➡️ Settings & Utilities, or by right-clicking Clean Launcher in the tray. If you delete the folder without disabling it, it will regenerate automatically.

🚀 Main Menu

• 🧹 Clean & Launch Sims 4:
  Cleans cache and error logs, then launches The Sims 4—all in one click. You can also choose to only delete the cache on launch if your /Mods folder has changed! You can also choose a Mods Profile (see 👤Manage Mod Profiles) to switch up your CC for different gameplay styles.
• 🔎 Scan Mods Folder:
  Detect duplicates, hidden scripts, zipped files, missing files, and more. Fix them all with one click, or review each issue individually. When you run the tool, it will automatically scan your /Mods folder, and give you a summary of the issues it's found. You can then expand/collapse each section to view all the problems, Fix Issues one by one, or Fix All to automate the process.
• 📦 Drag & Drop Mod Installer:
  Drag ZIPs or mod files into the installer, or browse for files—they’ll be automatically extracted and sorted into Mods, Tray, or Saves. Use it on it's own, or with Auto Mods depending on your mood! Personally, I use it for adding a ton of new Sims and Builds to my game, as those that come with CC will all be organized for you in a flash.

• ⚙️ Settings:
  Change your /Mods folder or game path, reset folder or path to default, reset launch settings, enable or disable Auto Mods folder, undo the last organize, or set Clean Launcher to start with Windows.
• 🗂️ Backup Mods, Saves & Tray:
  Zip up your Mods, Saves, or Tray for safe backup, or to transfer to a new computer.
• 🧩 Organize Mods Folder:
  Automatically sort your Mods into simple, detailed, or custom categories (undo anytime). You can also edit the folder structure, by clicking Custom. In the next window, you can then toggle between editing the folder names, and the keywords. If you rename or move a parent folder, such as 'CAS', make sure you update all its subfolders too, so they match the new parent folder name or location.
• 👤 Manage Mod Profiles:
  Create different profiles for different playstyles, and switch between them easily. New CC is detected and you’ll be prompted to import before switching.
